Some Common Charity Mistakes That You Should Avoid
It is surprising how people end up seeming rude when performing charitable activities. How would you react if you got a R4 card along with a gaming console that was not compatible with the card? You will end up with two products that could have made you very happy but will only make you feel disgusted about your condition.
Another common complaint that charitable organizations have is that they end up with lots of expired medicines. The desire to donate medicines is a good thing. However, to hand over expired medications is no different than handing over lots of poison. You don’t want to be seen as a person who wants poor people dead, do you? Then you have to stop donating expired medicines. The dust bin is the right place to deposit this trash.

Donating clothes is a very common phenomenon. This is especially true for those who like to purchase clothes very often. Well, donating clothes that are torn or are in tatters can leave these charitable organizations in a very difficult situation. They have to spend more money repairing the clothes to make it wearable. Further, the fact that torn clothes have been disposed off indicates that the donor does not have any regard for the modesty of the recipient. That is not a good message to send.
Many persons react viciously when they advised to be more sensitive when doing charity. They believe that the fact that they are doing charity should be enough. Well, to demand gratitude as a matter of right is not a good thing. It is a sign of arrogance. We must remember that we are very lucky to be born in a family that could afford basic needs. The primary essence of charity is to develop this feeling of mutual respect even though the other person may not have a lot of money in hand.
