Teaching for a caring future

Getting young people involved with charity work and aid projects is a very important thing in my opinion, and I think that it is our responsibility to try and ingrain an ethic of compassion and helpfulness in all of our youngsters, as they are the ones that will be in control of the future. Many people that get involved in this kind of work early on really enjoy it and often then follow through with things when they are older.

2011 was a good year

Donating your money, time and sharing your love is something that has been growing in popularity, and thank God for that. According to the 2011 CAF Donation Calendar the world has become more generous and more compassionate. The percentage of people who are willing to donate to a stranger or a particular organisation has increased by 2%, and 1% more people do voluntary work. The research also shows that the people from the US are those who give the most; this is probably as a result of the many philanthropists like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, who we will talk about later on. The second place goes to Ireland, and Australia takes the third.
